Field Support Engineer
This is an opportunity for a driven engineer looking to make an impact in a global technical support environment. You will provide higher level support to our globally based service centres and have the chance to travel abroad visiting and supporting our growing customer base.
- Provide in-house and at site after-sales technical support to our customers and global teams.
- Deliver trainings to our customers, regional engineers and global teams.
- Commission new machines.
- Carry out planned and emergency fault finding and analysis support for all machines in our product range.
- Proactively report feedback and field issues to in-house departments and track progress of raised actions, supporting R&D and Sales and recognising when to escalate issues encountered to other departments within our organisation.
- Support internal design and development projects from the service viewpoint.
- Field Validation of software & hardware changes.
- Proactively aid the development of our customer support products.
- CS upgrade kit validation at site and in-house tech documentation creation and support.
- Minimum NVQ Level 5 qualification, ideally HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Previous experience in a technical customer support environment.
- Clear Communication Skills written and verbal.
- Ability to liaise confidently with customers at all levels.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
- Additional language skills, particularly German, would be advantageous.
- A current passport and a full, clean, and current driving license, as the role will require regular international long and short haul travel.
