CS Sales Engineer

Responsibilities
- Sales responsibilities for assigned business units (BU) and Customer Service (CS)
- Drive business development for existing and new customers
- Regular customer visits and relationship building/management with existing and new customers
- Relationship management: together with the team the CS and capital sales teams manages customer relationships with main focus on CS topics.
- Sales and quotation support: responsible for initiating quotation process for CS offering and generates sales leads for equipment/plant business.
- Open communication and frequent update of market information to the Regional Sales Manager and supporting team e.g. Quotation
- Identify projects and opportunities in the market for all business units within the business area (BA)
- Good flow of information from customers to internal departments who are involved in the chain of process e.g. Quotation, Engineering, Technology, Customer Service and Administration
- Prepare quotations, negotiate and conclude contracts
- Comply to Buhler guidelines for pricing, contract and payment terms
- Order intake and price quality
- Provide market know-how and full overview, including competitors
- Manage sales budget and sales forecast
- Actively managing and using the CRM tools with all its aspects
- Coordinate with the HQ for regional business solutions and needs
- Support customer to find solution and developing the contract
Requirement / Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the process industry
- Sales experience for capital expenditures/ investment goods
- Technical background in the flour milling industry or similar industries
- Tools : Microsoft Office + internal software : Intranet, SAP Quotation, CRM, CS Web
- CRM: Utilization and responsibility for dedicated data set
- Develop CS Business in the BU related in order to reach the budget
- Develop new Business areas for Buhler to grow the market presence
- Business Knowledge: Knowledge of major value drivers of customer P&L and ability to explain impact of Buhler services (ROI)
- Technical knowledge to understand customer needs: Sufficient technical background (depends on market) to understand client processes, not only machines but overall transformation process and operations processes
- Knowledge of sales and service in process engineering operations
- Knowledge in food/feed processing industry
- Strong technical background with solution selling
- Independent, organised and target oriented
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Eager to learn and constantly seek to improve professionally through technical and other trainings
