We are seeking a Spare Parts Specialist who will be responsible for performing a variety of customer support and customer service duties with regards to spare parts and project coordination with latitude for un-reviewed action or decision.   

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Answers phone calls from customers with issues
  • Resolves customer complaints involving frequent independent judgment
  • Issues service parts in response to customer orders
  • Manages customer service projects involving frequent and independent judgments
  • Quotation of machine upgrade and repair projects with some supervision from team leader

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Occasional visits to customer sites to evaluate, repair, and assist with projects
  • Provides and implements input to improve customer response procedures
  • Provides input to service parts stocking levels
  • Assists Level 3 Customer Service Technician as needed
  • Trains Level 1 Customer Service Technician
  • International & domestic travel as required – potential for 25% travel
  • Shared responsibility for monitoring the after-hours on-call phone

Qualifications

Required Skill and Experience

  • Previous service technician or machine builder experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of professional experience
  • Working knowledge of BuhlerPrince policies, procedures, systems and products
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent phone communication skills
  • Ability to maintain positive composure in stressful phone conversation

Preferred Skill and Experience

  • Degree appropriate for the position or other equivalent training or experience
  • Experience with an MRP system
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Good understanding of machine component terminology
