As a Business Apprentice, you'll be at the heart of our dynamic organization, rotating through various departments, including Human Resources, Accounting and Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, and more.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Observing and actively participating in departmental operations.
- Embracing a comprehensive two-year program designed to blend academic learning and practical experience.
During this two-year program, Buhler will send Business Apprentices to Hennepin Technical College to earn their two year degree in Business while getting hands-on experience at Buhler. After the two-year program, Business Apprentices will graduate debt free and be offered a full time position with Buhler in one of the departments they trained in.

Job Responsibilities
- Learn about Buhler's overall business processes and strategies
- Attend school 2 days per week at Hennepin Technical College and work onsite at Buhler 3 days per week
- Explore different departments and discover your interest and passion for careers in different fields such as Human Resources, Accounting and Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing and Logistics.
- Manage emails, phone calls and work tasks per department projects
- Supply Chain: Develop basics for customer quotes with product specific information and alternatives; Enter and maintain vendor and customer master data, record documents and assign them to accounts to post them to balance sheets and income statement accounts; Compare order confirmations with purchase orders and agree on solutions in case of deviations
- Human Resources: Participate in recruiting processes, employee engagement activities and employee lifecycle administration; support the front desk and assist customers and employees with questions and issues;
- Marketing: support the development of marketing measures like trade shows, social media and email campaigns; Monitoring activities in terms of time, efficiency and quality, adjusting when necessary
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A passion for learning and a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm for exploring diverse business functions
- Strong observational skills
- Being detail-oriented
