As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to ensure the highest standards across our diverse operations, spanning manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and offsite storage. Your role will be pivotal as you collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Manufacturing & Logistics, Project Execution, and other essential areas of our business. Upholding and maintaining standards in all documented information and processes will be at the core of your responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Incoming inspections for manufacturing, verifying critical to quality dimensions/features, documenting, and then properly storing this information.
- Perform 8D investigations for non-conforming material reports that occurs during the manufacturing process.
- Perform 8D investigations for customer complaints that originate from the manufacturing process.
- Ensure proper documentation within the quality management system, CAQ.
- Review and store all in-process quality data, ensure proper documentation has been accomplished.
- Monitor first pass yield and rolling throughput numbers, initiate corrective actions when metrics are not being achieved.
- Support annual gage calibration (3rd party) and utilize interval tool to ensure cost effective intervals of calibration.
- Support incident reports within the digital incident reporting.
- Identify trends and implement proactive corrective actions.
- Perform investigations and implement corrective actions for near misses, medical treatment, and loss time injuries.
- Support weekly and monthly safety audits of the shop floor and warehouse.
- Support data entry into local and global systems.
- Enter new, audit, and update safety datasheets.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with training in quality tools (5-Why, cause and effect, pareto, histogram) and problem-solving tools (8D, PDCA, DMAIC), with knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- 3 to 5 years’ quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong print reading abilities, prefer knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), but not required.
- Understanding of metrology tools and application (Test indicators, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks and pins)
- Microsoft office suite, with an emphasis on excel and formulas.
- Basic knowledge of local and federal safety requirements and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
