The Swiss-based family owned company Bühler is a global, industrial solution provider for processing foods and for manufacturing advanced materials, contributing to food security and high energy efficiency. Around 65% of the worldwide harvested grain is processed on Bühler mills, around 50% of all car tail lamps or head lamps are getting metallized on Bühler machines. Every day, billions of people come into contact with Bühler technologies to cover their basic needs for foods, mobility, or communication.

We are seeking a Commisssioning Engineer to handle the start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of packing & palletizing lines and automation
systems. You'll support our quality management process and regarded as a Bühler expert to ensure customer satisfaction. You'll travel a lot abroad to our customers.

What you will do with us:

On-site:

• Commission, troubleshoot, and operate packing & palletizing lines.
• Upload programs for machine controls and resolve issues.
• Recommend products and solutions to customers.
• Modernize and upgrade lines and plants.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Produce and present customer reports.
• Consult and troubleshoot remotely.
• Promote Bühler’s safety culture through risk assessments and safety checks.

 

Internal:

• Deliver detailed reports for service opportunities.
• Provide technical input to the process technology team.
• Assist in defining standards and solutions with the M2M team.
• Train and coach new field technologists and colleagues.
• Support CAQ tasks and problem-solving.

What you will need:

• Technical education in electrical, mechanical, or process automation.
• Experience as a commissioning engineer or similiar role
• Proficiency in reading technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of food/feed industry, food safety and ATEX would be an advantage
