Summary

Buhler Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is looking for a self-motivated professional to join our Service team as Service Automation Engineer. This position will be responsible to provide the required engineering services including all deliveries within the time schedule, with the required quality, while ensuring compliance with Bühler related directives and Environment, Health, and Safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to ensure permanent resolution and/or escalate with a proper problem description and documentation when root cause is not identified.
  • Handle claims and provide technical support and guidance to escalated claims per the claims process and through the quality department, including root cause analysis.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve both electrical and automation malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Prepare and submit timesheets, service reports, drawings and other documents related to the assigned task
  • Training customers when needed in instrument operation and maintenance

 

Qualifications

  •  Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics/Electrical engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in an international environment, development and commissioning of plant automation systems are expected
  • Perform automation related job functions as assigned, including, I/O tests, Instrumentation lists and the specification of instrumentation and control element
  • Knowledge of Siemens (TIA Portal/S7,WINCC), Rockwell (Compact Logix, Panelview) and Wonderware, Archestra and InTouch 
  • Knowledge of industrial Variable Frequency Drives & associated Electrical systems is preferred
  • Ability to independently resolve more complex issues requiring detailed systems and applications knowledge
  • Ability to problem solve, work in a dynamic environment, and deal successfully with stressful customer equipment down situations
  • Basic knowledge of Internetworking, Network Security and Routing Protocols.
  • Communicates well in English, both verbally and in writing
