Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the quality control of Technical Product Information according to writing guidelines and norms
This includes but is not limited to monitoring and inspecting content; working closely with the Tech-nical Writers in the team; reporting on all quality-related issues and training of Technical Writers.
Job Responsibilities
- Correctorate of documentation created by the local Technical Writers.
- You establish, improve and update writing guidelines for English content creation.
- You troubleshoot issues with technical writers and create solutions.
- You ensure proper support of the Technical Writers in the team.
- You assume the responsibility for quality and standards as an ambassador.
- You actively collaborate on one of our various optimization projects.
- You assume responsibility for creating and updating documentation included with products based on norms and company-internal standards.
- You coach and mentor junior technical writers and onboarders across different businesses and conduct training courses for new onboarders.
- You take over projects in collaboration with other departments.
- You complete timely and accurate audits; report on findings.
- You ensure all relevant regulations, work rules, and quality procedures are followed on the department.
Qualifications
- You possess a bachelor’s degree or similar education in technical communication/technical writing.
- You have advanced user knowledge in XML-based editing systems, preferably ST4 and have knowledge of media editing.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
- You have an analytical, structured and systematic approach to work.
- You focus on service and customer-orientation and a commitment to quality.
- You can work on a team and independently, and have good communication skills, and a sociable demeanour.
- You are willing to work with international teams, with sound intercultural skills & understanding.
- You have the ability to convey difficult concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- 10 – 15 % of travel for onsite training.
