Sales & Project Support Engineer
As the Sales & Project Support Engineer you will report to the Senior Team Manager - Quotations, Order process & PE, and you will be establishing project inspection criteria, quotations, project designs and ensuring the proper implementation of project engineering.
- Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and collaborating with sales and project teams.
- Prepare quotations and cost estimates for machinery supply and projects.
- Lead the creation and review of engineering design documents, including process flow diagrams, site plans, and detailed drawings.
- Produce AutoCAD layouts, detail drawings, and flow sheets; conduct site visits as needed.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify technical requirements and ensure equipment suitability.
- Coordinate project handover meetings between teams and support adherence to client review procedures.
- Plan and monitor project schedules, sequencing procurement activities and resolving issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean working environment through method statements and risk assessments.
- Manage small projects, support team members as required.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or minimum qualification at HND level.
- Demonstrable experience in machine layout drafting (2D/3D) in AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret and create accurate and detailed engineering drawing: experience preparing process flow diagrams, installation and building indication drawings from layout.
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D modelling software.
- Experience with detailed mechanical design of plant system(s) such as pneumatic conveying and aspiration diagram from defined client specification; this includes creating an isometric diagram of pneumatic scheme and creating an associated documentation including BOM and installation drawings.
- Knowledge of universal drafting standards.
- Experience generating quotations.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, proactive and customer focused.
- Attention to detail, excellent numerical capabilities and reliable.
Desirable but not essential:
- Full UK Driving licence
- Experience using SAP
- MS 365

Remuneration: £ 40,000 - £ 45,000 (depending on skills and experience)
