Director of Service Workshops
The Director of Service Stations drives performance and profitability across North American service workshops (US & Mexico) by balancing customer expectations with internal efficiency. This role leads operational excellence, implements Lean principles, and ensures achievement of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and development targets.
The compensation for this position is $130,000 - $150,000
- Oversee North American workshop operations, ensuring performance against safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and development objectives.
- Drive safety with no recordable events and drive quality with 95% First Pass Yield.
- Implement and coach on Lean processes (Value Stream Analysis, 5S/6S, Continuous Improvement), developing a Lean community within the workshops and sharing best practices.
- Manage costs to ensure profitable operations and ensure workshops are productive, with target utilization.
- Create robust quality operations, ensuring potential escapes are identified prior to shipment, that the causes are understood, and that corrective action is put into place.
- Deliver active and future projects on time and at cost, supporting and engaging in project planning and implementation, managing tasks and deliverables.
- Maintain high-quality data management, including implementing increased visibility of on time delivery, productivity, quality, and costs.
- Travel within North America visiting workshops (US and Mexico) and Customers (Canada, US, Mexico, Central America and Caribbean) to engage and better understand challenges (Travel >25%).
- Collaborate with Internal and External stakeholders to further develop the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in technical and/or commercial education.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Customer service experience preferred,
- Leadership and people management experience required,
- Demonstratable project management skills required,
- Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and ability to learn business and service-oriented platforms,
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) required.
